A Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) won third place in the ranking of the best universities in Latin America, released by Times Higher Education. UFRJ jumped from 11th position, reaching the podium next to the University of São Paulo (USP), which regained the top spot after six years and University of Campinas (Unicamp), which came in second place.
With this, the Brazil dominated the top three positions and stood out on the Latin American scene with seven universities among the top ten e 69 in the Top 100, driven by a new search influence metric.
