O Acoustics and Vibrations Laboratory (Lavi)), laboratory do PEM, received a visit from a delegation from China University of Petroleum (CUP).
After signing of a broad set of agreements between the presidents of Brazil and China, Lula and Xi Jinping, COPP received, this Tuesday, 26 November, One delegation from China University of Petroleum (CUP). The Chinese teachers met with the director of COPP, teacher Suzana Kahn, and the Director of Academic Affairs, Professor Jean-David Caprace, and they met the Enhanced Oil Recovery Laboratory (Lrap+) and the Acoustics and Vibrations Laboratory (Lavi).
Part of a strengthening scientific and academic ties in Sino-Brazilian cooperation, COPPE and CUP discussed research topics of common interest. “Therefore, we visited the Lrap+ , who has expertise in the use of tomography and X-ray computed microtomography applied to rock samples, in the analysis of porous media for greater use of the useful life of oil wells and also for carbon capture and storage (CCUS), and the Lavi, that has know-how in the acquisition, analysis and processing of acoustic and vibration signals”, explained the teacher Suzana.
